The foundation of this institution was laid down on 14th May 2003 by Akhil Bhartiya Darshan Singh Shiksha Prasad Samiti in the memory of Shri Darshan Singh.The college is situated in Kanchausi Bazaar, Ramabai Nagar. Darshan Singh Smriti Mahavidyala got affiliated from Kanpur University in the year 2003 and at the moment boasts of more than 2,500 students. At present, the college runs courses of BA, B.Sc and B.Ed. The college was made with the motive of educating the people of Kanchausi Bazaar and all the nearby areas.The institute not only runs educational classes but also organizes a number of sporting and extra-curricular activities.The institute is dedicated in shaping uphighly educated professionals who are extremely skilled and all-rounders in every aspect of life. The institute was established on the principles of Shri Darshan Singh who was a follower of Gandhiwadi thinking, so this institute promises to ensure its students true values and morals which will prove crucial in their professional and personal lives. These values, along with the high quality education imparted by the institute with the help of its able teachers and able staff are due to bring out true professionals in them.
